  I grew up in this church so I have been going here on and off for over 20 years. While the priest in my youth was great, the past few priests have not been effective leaders or powerful speakers. Not that they're bad people, but they do not challenge church attendees to follow the Word and do not do an effective job of conveying how the Catholic leadership feel about major issues.
  For example, the current priest spoke following the "Trump sexually harasses women" media debacle to say that abortion is the only issue anyone should use when deciding on their vote in the election (i.e. immigration, sexual harassment, and making fun of the handicapped is ok to ignore). Now, this is a predominantly Republican church so I understand the position he was in, but a Priest needs to preach the Word, not cater to the populace. The candidates differed greatly on many other issues, yet none of them were mentioned. This was the Priest's opportunity to paint a more nuanced picture and inform churchgoers of the church's position, but he elected to focus only on one issue.
  That being said, I do love the people who go here (many are from families I grew up with), the choir, and the multitude of activities offered throughout the week. I just have to go elsewhere to receive any kind of thoughtful preaching, and that is the most important issue for me in a church.

  I go to my AA meeting Stein edge church and I've rated 5-stars because of the giveness you do for us and have not helping us in our sobriety and hopefully we can go by your rules about you to place clean and no but sat in the parking lot and respect the Heritage weekend so thank you
